I have gotten comments on photos in uniform about how my butt looks and about the fact Im wearing makeup on shift so I must be incompetent at my job. About how I care how my hair looks to be presentable when Im taking care of someones dying family member.. I scroll through friends photos in uniform or holding guns and men automatically assume that theyre less than capable because they also like to dress up or have their nails done. - Since speaking up about this, I find that many of you women have similar stories. Ive always been one to speak up about sexual harassment and assault in the workplace. Unfortunately, it is all too common in male-dominated fields. Youre not a victim for sharing your story. You are a survivor setting the world on fire with your truth. And you never know who needs your light, your warmth, and raging courage. Im not afraid because I trust that God has worked through me and used my pain as a microphone to help others. - Sometimes people try to destroy you, precisely because they recognize your power - not because they dont see it, but because they see it and dont want it to exist. - Remember, people who repeatedly attack your confidence and self-esteem are quite aware of your potential, even if you are not. . . . . . . . . . .

Sometimes God has to take it all from you to show you who you really are without it. - Ive spent so much time placing my identity in my career, my relationship, or the gym. I was extremely confident I knew who I was. When I lost all of them, I panicked. I look strong and confident from a social media perspective, but inside I was depressed and questioning my self worth. I felt like I had to uphold this image of being strong 100% of the time and always knowing what was going to happen, but truthfully, I just take it one day at a time like everyone else. - When everything gets taken from you, I truly believe its Gods way of getting your attention and stopping you from heading the opposite way of your calling. GOD BREAKS CHAINS, NOT PROMISES. And He promises He will restore what was lost and make it even better than you can imagine. But the in-between is the damn hardest. Trust me, Im there. - This goes for your job, your failed attempts at the fitness test, your failed attempts to get your medic license, your lost relationship, your injuries. You are NOT those things and those things dont make you who YOU are. You are worth SO MUCH more and Im having to believe it and repeat it every day to just move forward. The sparrow tattooed on my forearm is a reminder of this; You are Worth more than many Sparrows [Matthew 10:31] . Bag & shirts @ninelineapparel ||code: Presleykp @jmkphotomt . . . . .
